The present bail application under Section 483 of BNSS has been filed on behalf of applicant, Sharookh with a prayer to release him on bail in Case Crime No. 411 of 2024, under Section 8/22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, Police Station- Kotwali Dehat, District- Saharanpur. Learned counsel for the applicant has contended that as per prosecution case 1200 tablet of Alprazolam is alleged to have been recovered from the possession of the applicant. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that if the prosecution story can be considered a truth, then the quantity of Alprazolam in the each tablet is 0.5 milligram, which works out in 1200 tablet as 600 milligram, which is much less than commercial quantity.
