The present appeal filed by the accused-appellant Lalau @ Ram Autar, against the judgment and order dated 07.01.2019 passed by learned Additional District and Sessions Judge/ Fast Track Court No. 1, Kanpur Dehat in Session Trial No. 316 of 2012 (State Vs. Ghanshyam and another), has remained pending for five years. 2. While the appellant, Lalau @ Ram Autar was in jail, he is reported to have died on 23.05.2021. 3. Upon a report being called for in that regard vide order dated 08.01.2025, Shri Patanjali Mishra, learned A.G.A.-I for the State has produced a report received by him on 21.01.2025 from the Superintendent, District Jail, Kanpur Dehat confirming the death of the appellant. The same has been marked as 'X' and retained on record. 4. In such circumstances, the present appeal filed by the accused- appellant, Lalau @ Ram Autar abates and is accordingly consigned to record.
