The present petition has been filed under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (A&C Act), seeking the appointment of an Arbitrator to adjudicate upon the disputes that have arisen between the parties. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondent had invited e-tenders for the works pertaining to “Annual Comprehensive Maintenance and Operation of A/C Plants at Various Locations” in the operational area at IGI Airport, Delhi, for a period of two years (2018-2020). 3. Pursuant thereto, upon compliance with requisite formalities, including the deposit of a bank guarantee, the respondent awarded the contract in favour of the petitioner vide award letter dated 20.11.2018.
