The instant petition has been filed for the following relief: "issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the impugned order dated 12.3.2024 (Annexure No.1 to the present writ petition) passed by the Settlement Officer of Consolidation, Varanasi, District- Varanasi." 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the Settlement Officer of Consolidation has illegally dismissed the restoration application filed by petitioner. He further submitted that the impugned order has been passed in illegal and arbitrary manner on the restoration application, as such, the writ petition should be entertained against the appellate order. 4.
