The case of the petitioner is that he was engaged as Home Guard in the year 1988, however, according to the writ petitioner, date of birth has been wrongly recorded as year 1966 as the same ought to have been 05.01.1969. It has also contended that the writ petitioner would retire on 31.01.2026. Prayer in the present writ petition to correct the date of birth. 4. Learned Standing Counsel has produced instructions according to which in the application so submitted by the petitioner the date of birth was shown as 10.01.1966.
