The case of the writ petitioner is that the father of the writ petitioner no.1, namely Jai Prakash Srivastava died in harness on 14.05.2010 and the father of the writ petitioner no.2 namely Satya Narain Prasad died in harness on 19.03.2006. The writ petitioners claim to be working on Class-IV post, and they seek appointment on compassionate basis on the post of Junior Clerk. They rely upon certain recommendations. 3. Learned Standing Counsel on the other hand submits that in view of the judgment of the Hon'ble Apex Court in State of Rajasthan vs. Umrao Singh , JTI 1994(6) SC 372 once a compassionate appointee obtains an appointment, then he cannot claim further appointment.
