Heard Shri Ashok Khare, learned Senior Advocate, assisted by Shri Abhishek Krishna, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State - respondents. The sole prayer made in the instant writ petition is for a direction upon the respondent no. 5 to regularize the services of the petitioners on their respective posts. Learned Senior Advocate submits that the petitioners are discharging their duties on a contractual basis w.e.f. 01.04.2003, but they have not been regularized till date. In support of his submissions, he has placed reliance on the judgement of the Apex Court in Dharam Singh & Others Vs. State of U.P. & Another [Civil Appeal No. 8558/2018, decided on 19.08.2025].
