The appellant, Ved Prakash Maurya, has preferred the present appeal seeking setting aside of the impugned judgment dated 22.12.2009 and the order on sentence dated 24.12.2009 passed by the learned Special Judge, Delhi [hereafter ‘Trial Court’] Vide the impugned judgment, the appellant was convicted for the offences under Section 7 and Section 13(1)(d), punishable under Section 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 [hereafter ‘PC Act’], and was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of two CRL.A. 45/2010 2.
