The applicant has preferred this application, seeking grant of anticipatory bail in case arising out of e-FIR bearing no. 80145093/2024, registered at Police Station Preet Vihar, New Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 [hereafter ‘ BNS’]. Briefly stated, the facts of the present case are that the complainant got the present e-FIR registered on the allegation that his employee, Sunil Kumar (the applicant herein), had committed theft of articles/belongings, including hand wash, from his shop on 25.12.2024, the details of which he would furnish to the Investigating Officer (I.O.) after matching the ledgers. After registration of the FIR, the complainant was examined by the I.O. He stated that he had known the applicant since 2011, when both had worked in the same company, Siemens, until 2014.
