The present petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 115/2016 dated 20.02.2016, registered at Police Station Jyoti Nagar, for offences under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (‘IPC’) and Sections 4/5 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, (‘DP Act’) including all consequential proceedings arising therefrom. 2. It is averred that the marriage between Petitioner No. 1 and Respondent No. 2 was solemnized on 09.07.2011 as per Hindu rites, customs and ceremonies. One child was born from the said wedlock.
