HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION (PIL) No. - 3795 of 2025 Ghanshyam Prasad Kesarwani .....Petitioner(s) Versus State of U.P. and 6 others .....Respondent(s) Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Jagdish Kumar, Moeez Uddin Counsel for Respondent(s) : Abhishek Ankur Chaurasia, Ankit Gaur, S.C. Chief Justice's Court HON'BLE ARUN BHANSALI, CHIEF JUSTICE HON'BLE KSHITIJ SHAILENDRA, J. 1. This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner seeking to stop illegal construction for business purposes over the place of 'Ram Janki Mandir' and take legal action against respondent no. 7. 2. A perusal of the petition indicates that the allegations pertain to a temple for which it is not the case of the petitioner that the same is a government property. 3. Filing of a PIL, for the purpose of seeking direction to the State in relation to a private property/non-government property, cannot be countenanced. The petition is, therefore, dismissed. 4. The petitioner is free to take appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.
