In the present Public Interest Litigation, on 08.05.2014 the Court required the Managing Director, Paschimanchal Vidyut Viteran Nigam Limited to conduct an inquiry into the subject matter of the petition and submit a report to the Court. 2. A counter affidavit along with the report was filed on 14.07.2014, copy whereof was supplied to the counsel for the petitioners. 3. None is present for the petitioners though the matter is listed in the category of 'Oldest Pending Cases in this High Court, for Priority Hearing'. 4. It appears that due to passage of time, the petitioners have lost interest in the petition. The same is, therefore, dismissed for non-prosecution.
