This petition has been filed as a Public Interest Litigation seeking following relief:- "I. Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent authorities, particularly the Public Works Department (PWD), Lucknow to forthwith undertake necessary repair/patch work of the damaged portion of the 50 meters of road i.e. from Yadav Market to BCC Apartment situated on Naubasta Road, Lucknow and further direct to the Nagar Nigam, Lucknow to install adequate speed breakers and other safety measures at appropriate locations of the said road to prevent accidents and ensure safe and obstruction-free movement of the public." 4.
