The present petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 170/2019 dated 31.03.2019, registered at Police Station Jafrabad, for offences under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (‘IPC’) and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 (‘DP Act’), including all consequential proceedings arising therefrom. Chargesheet in the present case has been filed. 2. It is averred that the marriage between the petitioner and Respondent No. 2 was solemnized on 06.02.2017 as per Hindu rites and ceremonies. Subsequently, Respondent No.2 made a complaint against the petitioner alleging that she was subjected to cruelty by him, which later culminated into the aforementioned FIR. 4. The present petition is filed on the ground that the matter is amicably settled between the parties by way of Memorandum of Understanding dated 23.08.2025, out of their own free will, without any undue influence, coercion or pressure. 5. It is stated that the petitioner and Respondent No. 2 are now residing together peacefully. 6. The parties are present in person and have been duly identified
