The present appeal has been filed challenging the judgment of conviction dated 17.10.2002 and the order on sentence dated 29.10.2002, passed by the Trial Court in Complaint Case No. 763/02 (also reflected as CC No. 74/2001), whereby the appellant was convicted for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for six months, along with a fine of Rs.1,60,000/-, and in default thereof, further rigorous imprisonment for a period of three months. 2.
