This petition has been filed, challenging the Order dated 03.01.2020 passed by the learned Central Administrative Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Tribunal’) in O.A. No. 2030/2014, titled Ashish Kumar Thakur and Ors. v. UOI through its Secretary and Ors., whereby the O.A. filed by the petitioners herein was dismissed. 2. The limited issue that arises for consideration before this Court is whether the 1494 additional reserved posts at the level of Income Tax Officer, created pursuant to the approval of the Cabinet in a meeting held on 23.05.2013, would be said to arise in the vacancy year 2013-14 or in the vacancy year 2014-15. 3.
