The present writ petition has been filed seeking directions to the respondent-Election Commission of India (“ECI”) to register the name of the petitioner as a political party before the ECI as the petitioner wants to setup its candidate in the forthcoming General Legislative Assembly Election of Assam State, which is going to be scheduled in the next year of 2026. 2. As per the facts on record, it is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner submitted an application on 06th March, 2025, under Section 29-A of the Representation of Peoples Act, 1951, alongwith three proposed Signature Not Verified Digitally Signed Page 1 of 4 By:HARIOM SHARMA Signing Date:08.12.2025 21:11:52 alternative names also, and submitted all other required documents before the ECI to register political party in the name of „All Party Hills Leader Conference‟, as per the guidelines of the ECI. 3.
