By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioners have prayed for following substantial relief: "(I). Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent authorities to regularize the services of the petitioners by giving regular/ substantive appointment against the 21 vacant post of collection peon in District Baghpat specifically in terms of provisions contained in Uttar Pradesh Collection Peon Service Rule, 2004 and Government orders issued there under." 3.
