By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus to command respondent No. 2 to consider his request for transfer made in the application initially moved on 27.06.2024 and reminder thereof made on 08.08.2025 to the effect that petitioner should be transferred to his hometown or nearby district to his hometown as he has only nine months to go in his retirement. 3. Learned counsel for petitioner has placed reliance upon the Government Order dated 11.06.2024 which provides for posting of such employees who are to retire in next two years' time in their hometown or near their hometown. 4. Learned Standing Counsel on the contrary submits that new transfer policy came into force on 06.05.2025 hence, petitioner should be directed to make fresh representation as per new transfe
