Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Standing Counsel. 2. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioners have prayed for following reliefs: "(i) Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to consider the matter as to appointment of the petitioner no.2 on compassionate ground and pass appropriate order in this regard within the period which may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court." 3. It is submitted that father of petitioner no.2 died on 19.01.2003 from the respondent's establishment, hence, petitioner No. 1 came to move an application for providing compassionate appointment to petitioner No. 2. It is next contended that till date no decision has been taken in the matter and application of petitioners have remained pending consideration. 4.
