By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution petitioner has prayed for writ of mandamus to command the respondent to give promotion to the petitioner on ad hoc basis. 3. Learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel raises preliminary objection as to the maintainability of this petition on the ground that petitioner has already filed a writ petition being Writ A No. 7242 of 2025 in which the interim mandamus was issued to promote the petitioner on ad hoc basis or cause be shown. 4. In these circumstances, it is therefore, submitted that petitioner may either pursue the said writ petition or may file contempt petition for non compliance of the interim mandamus. 5.
