By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for a direction in the nature of mandamus to command the respondent No.- 2 to place the petitioner against the vacant post where his wife is working in district Meerut. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner's wife is serving at Meerut and hence in terms of policy of State Government if one spouse is serving at particular station then other spouse should also be posted at the same station as far as possible. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in this regard petitioner has made representation on 1st June, 2025 which has remained pending consideration before the respondent No.- 2 but no decision has been taken till
