By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following relief as substantial relief: "i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to commanding the respondents to sanction and disburse leave encashment for 300 days consequent upon retirement of the petitioner within a period to be specified by this Hon'ble Court and to disburse the same along with interest at such penal rate as may be specified by this Hon'ble Court from the date of retirement till the date of actual payment within a period to be specified by this Hon'ble Court."
