Petitioner who is sister of late Pradeep Kumar clims family pension on the ground that she being unmarried and 100% disabled sister of the deceased employee, taking aid to the provisions contained under the U.P. Dependents of Deceased Employees During Service (6th Amendment) Rules, 2001 brought to the U.P. Government Servant Dying in Harness Rules, 1974 that includes unmarried sister also within the definition clause of dependents, she is entitled to be given family pension. 3. It is contended that deceased brother had no other dependent as he was unmarried and petitioner being unmarried sister falls within the definition of dependents of deceased family and hence is entitled to family pension. 4.
