By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioners have prayed for following relief: "i). Issue writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant sanction upgrading the petitioners' grade pay against the post of Seenchpal from Rs.1900/- to Rs.2000/- w.e.f. 22.11.2011 at par with Revenue Lekhpal of Revenue Department. ii). Issue writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the arrears of upgraded grade pay 2000/- at par with Revenue Lekhpal of Revenue Department and further be pleased to direct the respondents to pay the arrears of upgraded grade pay since 22.11.2011 with interest till the date of its actual payment within stipulated period." 3.
