By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus to be issued to the competent authority namely the respondent no. 2 to consider his request for transfer from district Ballia to district Hamirpur on the ground that his spouse is working over there and is currently pregnant and as such he is also entitled to be posted at the place in view of the provisions contained in the Government Order dated 06.05.2025. Learned Standing Counsel on the contrary submits that petitioner's wife is a teacher and hence petitioner cannot be claimed to remain posted in district concerned.
