By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, the petitioner has challenged the order passed by the disciplinary authority as well as the appellate authority. 3. A preliminary objection has been raised by learned Standing Counsel regarding maintainability of the petition in view of the alternate efficacious remedy available to the petitioner under U.P. Police Officers of Subordinate Ranks (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991. 4. At this stage learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the statutory period prescribed for revision has already expired. 5.
