By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for following reliefs: "I. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no.2 i.e. Superintending Engineer (Appellate Authority), Mirzapur Circle, Public Works Department, Mirzapur to decide the departmental appeal dated 11.01.2024 filed by the petitioner, which is pending before him, as expeditiously as possible and within some stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court." 3. Learned Standing counsel has no objection in case appellate authority of the department concerned to dispose of the statutory appeal dated 11.01.2024 in accordance with law. 4.
