By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for expeditious disposal of his claim for compassionate appointment on Group 'D' post as his father has died in harness on 20th August, 2023 while working with the respondent establishment. Learned Standing Counsel has no objection in the event petitioner's application is directed to be disposed of in accordance with law. In the given facts and circumstances of the case, I consider the legal position emerging out of the judgment of this Court in the case of Malaya Nanda Sethy v. State of Orissa and others, 2022 SCC OnLine SC 684, wherein the Supreme Court has held that in matters of compassionate appointment wherein immediacy of appointment is the hallmark behind the object of the compassionate appointment, I hereby dispose of this petition with a direction to the res
