By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution petitioner has challenged the order of penal rent. 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that petitioner has overstayed in the official accommodation since the year 2022 and hence, is liable to pay penal rent as per the relevant rules. 4. At this stage learned counsel for petitioner submits that he may be permitted to make a representation which may be directed to be disposed of in accordance with law. 5.
