Hon'ble Ajit Kumar,J. 1. The petitioner who is employed in respondent- establishment working in Orissa, wants a direction to be issued to respondent no.5 who is also placed in Orissa. 2. A preliminary objection has been raised by Sri Manu Vardhan, learned counsel for the respondents regarding maintainability of this case in this High Court. 3. In the considered view of the Court any cause of action in respect of an employee who is placed in a particular State would arise in that State or in a State where the office of the authority situates from where he wants relief. In the present case neither the petitioner is posted in the territory of Uttar Pradesh, nor the authority from whom the direction is sought, is placed in Uttar Pradesh and hence, the preliminary objection raised by Sri Manu Vardhan, learned counsel for the respondent is upheld.
