After some argument learned counsel for the petitioner states that petitioner is is confining his writ petition only to the extent of relief no. (ii) which is for a writ of mandamus to command respondent no.2 to decide pending departmental appeal against the petitioner dated 02.07.2025 in accordance with law. Since the prayer is quite innocuous in the nature of only a direction to the appellate authority to dispose of the appeal, I hereby direct the respondent no. 2 who is the appellate authority in the matter to dispose of the pending appeal of the petitioner in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. with the aforesaid observations and directions, this petition stands disposed of.
