Hon'ble Ajit Kumar,J. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has challenged the order passed by disciplinary authority as well as the appellate authority. Learned Standing Counsel has raised a preliminary objection as to the maintainability of this petition at this stage because petitioner has alternative efficacious remedy of revision under U.P. Subordinate Rank Police Officers (Punishment & Appeal) Rules, 1991. Learned counsel for the petitioner could not dispute the above. In view of the above, I decline to grant indulgence in the matter at this stage. However, it is provided that in the event petitioner prefers revision within a period of four weeks from today the same shall be considered and disposed of by means of a reasoned and speaking order within a further period of two months.
