Petitioner approached this Court for a writ of certiorari to question the notification issued by the respondents to make selection and appointment on the post of Accountant/Date Entry Operator on the ground that he has been discharging duties on the said post. 3. Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instruction and as per instructions, petitioner was appointed for a period of one year which came to end on 10.04.2023 and upon expiry of period no further renewal was granted to the petitioner and the Gram Panchayat accordingly proceeded to pass resolution on 20.06.2025 to hold fresh selection for the post in question. It is further contended that the said resolution has never been challenged inasmuch as pursuant to notification issued new selection has taken place and the person duly selected has been given appointment and the same has been sent for approval to distr
