It is stated that petitioner has disclosed the pending criminal case against him on format 92, whereas, there is no final judgment has taken place and there is no criminal history to the credit of the petitioner and hence the petitioner's candidature cannot be withheld for the post of Constable (Civil Police) after he has found placed in the select list. Learned Standing Counsel submits that letters have been written to the District Magistrate on 17.06.2025 through fax message, but no response has been received. He submits that the police verification is required in the matter before any appointment is offered to the petitioner.
