Heard Sri Sanjay Kumar Om, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for quashing of the order dated 19.07.2022 by which his claim for counting previous service rendered in Army towards service in Police Department has come to be rejected on the ground that Government Order dated 23.12.2020 has done away with this benefit. It is argued that just for petitioner being sent in the second batch of training as police constable during pandemic Covid-19 that petitioner has been denied benefit, whereas, the batch of constables selected in same selection sent for training earlier has been benefited. It is submitted that this Court has dealt with the controversy involved in Writ - A No. 10689 of 2024, Sita Ram Sharma along with connected matters has allowed the claim of such constables for the benefit counting period of
