This petition purportedly in public interest has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to respondent no.2 to inquire into the matter and vacate the Pond No. 307M, area 0.137 hectare, situated at Ward No. 15, Baba Jaleshwar Nath Nagar, Nagar Panchayat Barhalganj, District Gorakhpur. 2. The petitioner who is Ex-Chairman of the Nagar Panchayat Barhalganj, District Gorakhpur, claiming himself to be a social worker, has filed the petition seeking to protect the pond in question. 3.
