The petitioner has moved this PIL seeking to expedite Case No. 891 of 2016 (Computerized Case No. D201617140891), State vs. Ramesh Dutt Singh, under Section 10(2) of the U.P. Imposition of Ceiling on Land Holdings Act, 1960. The petitioner is an utter stranger and claims a direction to expedite proceedings of Case No. 891 of 2016 in public interest. There is hardly any public interest involved in the cause, particularly which the petitioner may seek to represent. It is after all a ceiling matter between the State and the land holder. A PIL in a matter like the present one cannot be entertained. This PIL does not appear to have been brought bona fide. The petition is dismissed.
