This petition purportedly in public interest has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to respondents not to cut the green trees from Gata No. 788, situated at Mauza Dharampur Sato, Pargana and Tehsil Sadar, District Fatehpur. 2. Submissions have been made that the petitioner while passing by Gata No. 788, noticed that certain measurements were being undertaken and when he made inquiries, he found out that the measurements were being taken for allotment to Purvanchal Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited for the purpose of setting up of a Thermal Power Plant there.
