The present petition is filed by the Petitioner challenging the detention of his gold chain weighing approximately 100 grams which was detained by the Customs Department vide detention receipt dated 13th March, 2024. 4. The background of the case is that the Petitioner was returning from Bangkok to India on 13th March, 2024 and the gold chain that he was wearing around his neck was detained by the Customs officials. 5.
