The present appeal under Section 415(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 20231 Section 374(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1 “BNSS” 2020. These proceedings emanate from FIR No. 443/2020 registered at P.S. Uttam Nagar for the offences under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code, 18603 and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.4 2. A conviction under Section 376 IPC read with Section 6 of the POCSO Act entails the gravest stigma and the severest of sentences; and therefore, this Court is tasked to examine whether the finding of guilt
