By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following relief as substantial relief: "i) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to grant promotion to petitioner on the post of Head Constable w.e.f. 04.03.2025 and to award all other consequential benefits within the time to be specified by the Hon'ble Court. ii) to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Superintendent of Police Maharajganj to forward petitioner's application dated 15.03.2025 with all relevant record before the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board and the Board may be directed to issue necessary orders for petitioner's promotion as Head Constable."
