The present petition has been filed praying for a mandamus directing the concerned respondents to issue a joining letter to the petitioner in pursuance to his selection as Constable (Civil Police), Provincial Arms Constabulary (hereinafter referred to as, 'P.A.C.') in the examinations held in pursuance to the Advertisement dated 23.12.2023. The case of the petitioner is that he was selected for appointment as Constable in P.A.C., but no appointment letter was issued to him till filing of the writ petition and, therefore, he could not join the force. It is the admitted case of respondent that the petitioner had cleared the recruitment process for being appointed as Constable in P.A.C. and had also appeared for medical examination.
