Issue, a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 2 to provide the notional promotion to the petitioner as per the Government Order dated 23.8.1997 and kindly amend the promotion list after enquiry and provide its benefits to the petitioner. " Learned Standing Counsel submits that petitioner in the above regard may make fresh representation before respondent no. 2, who may be directed to be disposed of the same in accordance with law.
