And 3 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Sanjay Singh Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Ajit Kumar,J. Heard Sri Sanjay Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel. By means of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner is aggrieved by the order dated 8.8.2024, whereby he has been directed to pay penal rent for retaining government accommodation despite the fact that he stood transferred from the Central Jail Naini to District Jail Kanpur. Learned Standing Counsel submits that since petitioner since was transferred so he was to surrender official accommodation, and therefore, respondents have rightly passed the order for charges of penal rent as per rules. At this stage learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner should be accorded sympathetic consideration in the matter as he would be vacating official accommodation in any case by 1st July, 2025 for his daughter is studying in B.A. III year and her examination would be over by the said date.
