By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to consider her claim for compassionate appointment on account of her mother, namely, Rooprani, died-in-harness on 28.09.2009. 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that petitioner is a married lady and she filed application claiming compassionate appointment quite late as the death of her mother took place in the year 2009. 4. Upon a pointed query being made, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though both the daughters of deceased- employee, i.e., the petitioner and her sister are married but on account of some dispute of succession between the petitioner and her sister, she could not move application for compassionate appointment earlier.
