Petitioner by means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution seeks a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to correct his date of birth in service record. 3. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner, who was working in Home Guard department, claims that his date of birth has wrongly been mentioned in the service record as 30.06.1963 whereas his correct date of birth is 30.06.1968. 4.
