Petitioners seem to have rushed to this Court for want of police verification report merely for the purpose of appointment as Constable in civil police pursuant to the selection already held in which his name is there in the select list as no adverse order has been passed as yet. Learned Standing Counsel has raised a preliminary objection as to the maintainability of this petition at this stage being premature neither the candidature of the petitioner has been rejected nor police verification report has been submitted till date. In the given facts and circumstances when the police verification is still awaited and the respondent department is yet to take a decision on the basis of police verification report that may be submitted in the matter, I do not find any good ground to entertain this petition at this stage.
