Learned Standing Counsel submits petitioner being of Fire Service Cadre, the claim of the said employee for promotion is currently pending before the Fire Service Headquarter, Lucknow and appropriate decision is likely to be taken soon. Instructions also disclose that like petitioner in the cluster of power lifting other persons have also participated like one Raghuvendra Singh, in weight lifting and they all have been selected for promotion by order of the Inspector General of Police, Uttar Pradesh on 31.01.2024. Relevant papers have also been placed. 2. In such above view of the matter, this petition stands disposed of with the direction to the respondent No. 4 to take final decision in the matter of promotion of the petitioner and other eligible candidates within a maximum period of six weeks from presentation of certified copy of this order.
