By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has questioned the penal charges that have been levelled against him under the order impugned dated 23.09.2024 passed by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Moradabad for retaining the official accommodation beyond the period he was authorized to retain. 3. Learned counsel for petitioner submitted that since the petitioner was permitted to stay at the official accommodation till 30.06.2024, therefore, he was not liable to pay any penal rent upon the same and at the most he could have been directed to pay the penal rent for a period of two months. 4.
